The Chief business Official (CBO) Mentor Project Training Program is designed to produce qualified California school distrcit CBO's. This one year program provides classroom training that takes place in nine two-day sessions (Friday night and
Saturday all day). Each student is teamed with his or her own mentor, students are nominated and screened into the program. Instruction consists of topic areas that reflect the required functions and roles of a CBO. Topics are broken into three major sections: School finance, School Operations and Leadership. Crisis and Management Assistance Team, California County Superintendent Educational Services Association subcommittee Business and administration steering Committee, California Association of School Business Officials, and School Services of California. A steering committee representative of partnership agencies review the curriculum, speakers, instructors, and
selection process of mentors and students overall management of the professional development training program. Evaluation of all curriculum and instructors is conducted at the completion of each class session. All evaluations are on file iwth FCMAT.
