The last 20 years of my career in teaching has been centered around educational technology. I have written 6 CE courses for FPU. My work as an Instructional Designer continues to drive my passion to share with instructors many methods to integrate technology into their teaching practices. I love sharing my experiences with other teachers from around the globe.

Professional Experience: I have taught high school Math and Computer Applications for 30 years and am currently the Instructional Designer at Reedley College and had that same role at Fresno City College for over 3 years. I also teach in the Degree Completion Program at FPU and have taught in the Masters in Educational Technology Program.

Personal Experience: I have presented at numerous State and National conferences at both the K-12 and Higher-Ed levels.

Scholarly Interests: Attempting to share the integration of technology into teacher’s courses through my day job as well as my teaching CE courses at FPU.

Honors and Awards: An iPhone app that I created titled Alge-Bingo won the 2012 National STEM Challenge sponsored by Sesame Street which included a trip to Washington D.C. to receive a $10,000 cash prize.

Favorite Activities:Spending time with my family, woodworking, building things, driving

Family Info: I married my beautiful wife in 1982 and we had Zoe in 1994 who has now earned her MSc in Palaeopathlogy from Durham University in Durham, England (at the age of 22) and then we had Tad in 1996 who has earned his BA in Music (at age 18) and a BA in Computer Science (at age 19). They are both married and doing very well.

What Matters: Only advancing the message of Jesus Christ.

Pet Peeves: People who live in their own little worlds with no regard for others.

What I Like About FPU: The history mixed with forward-thinking of developing and perpetuating professional development for educators across the nation and world.
