Professional Experience: Tom has studied organizations and the people they employ long enough to have a keen sense of what it takes for both to prosper. He writes and speaks about those leadership challenges and management perplexities that ultimately determine the success or failure of today's consumer sensitive workplace. He brings a level of collaborative spirit to his work that is rare among his contemporaries. He is particularly adept at unifying diverse personalities with competing priorities around a common purpose. Tom relies on real-life situations to convey his insight into the mind-numbing uncertainty that exists in today’s workplace. So accurate are his observations, so helpful are his solutions; audiences wonder whether he has been quietly watching their workplace. His writings have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, American City Business Journals, Executive Excellence, Fortune, and Entrepreneur, Smart Money and Inc. magazines. Tom writes The Doers Blog, which is available at www.worxinc.com.

Personal Experience: I strive to apply my Christian faith and biblical principles to my daily life and personal interactions by bringing out the best in myself and in others through the mutual exploration of learning opportunities that make the highest use of the talents God has entrusted to us.

Scholarly Interests: I subscribe to the principles of adult learning as defined by Malcolm Knowles a practitioner and theorist of adult education who promoted the concept of Andragogy. Knowles defined andragogy as “the art and science of helping adults learn”.
