I believe in the power of reflective teaching, thoughtful instructional design, and application of education research. I am especially passionate about seeing the results of when teachers implement active learning strategies that empower students to own their learning. I have been active in education for more than 20 years as a teacher, instructional coach, assessment directors, workshop presenter, and administrator at the K-12 level and community college level. Currently, I am the Dean of Instruction for the STEM Division at Clovis Community College where I support instructors in delivering instruction that creates opportunities for students.
