Learn to create and improve digital images with free powerful software that will operate on the hardware available for teachers and students, both at school and at home. Working with instructor-created video tutorials, students will be guided on the best techniques for common image-editing tasks utilizing open-source programs like GIMP, Pixlr and Kitra that operate on any computer, including Chromebooks and tablets. Opportunities will be available for students to create materials for their classroom. No prerequisite knowledge with digital images is required. The software is free and the video tutorials and files are included in the class fee.
