Stimulate your thinking about cultural differences and how we and our students can be enriched by them instead of seeing them as mysterious or problematic. In our increasingly diverse social environment, it is vitally important that educators recognize their own cultural biases and also embrace individuals who come from very different backgrounds. This is not a course about any one culture or set of cultures. Rather, it is an interdisciplinary course designed to develop multicultural skills and attitudes that will enhance our ability to understand and interact effectively with our fellow human beings regardless of cultural differences. NOTE: Required textbook must be purchased separately.
