Fit for You: A Guide to Wellness

Fit for You is designed to help you realize the importance of cardiovascular and muscular fitness, proper diet and sound mental health for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The course will help teachers and administrators gain the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for maintaining a well balanced, healthy lifestyle and for modeling and teaching it to their students. I believe that people desire to live a healthy lifestyle but lack the basic knowledge to do so. The course assignments will help the student integrate specific national standards for Health Education. Objectives for each lesson are modeled around standards-based learning as identified by the National Health Education Education Standards (NHES). NOTE: Required books must be acquired separately.
