I did learn more about Excel through this course but I did not like the lack of feedback or interaction throughout the time taking this course. I feel like there was a lot of information that I learned but only in a format to memorize it and spit it back out. Practical applications did not exist and there was only one opportunity to really test out what you had learned.

I like the structure of the course, being able to work through the assignment tasks, everything is scaffolded well, and all the support docs that come with the course. I did notice some issues with some assignments, like 19.3, where cells in the given Excel 2016 files weren't lining up with the directions in the assignment tasks. I also feel that it would help if the assignments and instructional book were updated to coincide with the latest version of Office 365 Excel.

Dr. Richard Swan and Dennis Funk are very easy to work with and the course was very easy to follow. My Mac crashed and I lost everything half way through the course. I had material that was specific to the Mac version of Excel and was very concerned that I would struggle switching over to Windows. It was not a problem. I was able to access the Windows version of everything through their website and complete the course.

I thought the course had a logical step by step procedure that took me through the basic knowledge of Excel and led me to a successful conclusion. The course also (for me anyway) made me think about various ways I could creatively use Excel within my class setting (I am a Middle School librarian). Although I am sure there will be times I will have to go back through the course book to reference things...I plan on making Excel a creative addition to the library.

I thought this was a great class showing the capabilities of excel. I understand it is geared more towards individuals who may not have any understanding of excel, but I would have liked to see some more elaborate ideas and concepts, quite possibly offer a class for excel users with a strong fundamental background who can jump into the more advanced concepts without having to go through some of the basics. Overall it was a great class and the instructor created an excellent reference packet for individuals to easily find resources as well as gain a good understanding of excel and its potential within a classroom or organization.

This was a very well-designed and engaging course that dealt well with the vast powers and possibilities that EXCEL offers. The text was engaging and the coursework was well-paced. My only criticism would be that even though the differences between released versions was continually addressed, there were times that I had difficulty working around unaddressed issues. As intuitive as the program is, I feel that I was able to meet assignment requirements in a satisfactory manner, but it did make me cringe a little, hoping I was doing things correctly. Well designed, fast communication from the professor, and I would recommend it to any educator. Thanks!

I learned a lot in this course. Dr. Swan was prompt at getting back to me when I had questions questions. However the course was recommended for pc or Mac users. It was difficult to follow at times using my Mac because the course was written for a pc. There was a lot of wasted time trying to interpret info for my computer. Also I spent hours on my final project. It would have been nice to get more detailed feed back than just a "you got an A" email. Makes me feel like he didn't really take the time to review the work I submitted.

This was an excellent class that will help me in the classroom. The only downfall I had was when we reached more than halfway through the curiculum, the directions seemed to become more vague. Many ending assignments were outlined, but not clearly defined. I worked very hard on this course and put numerous hours in each day to finish this course.
