This was an outstanding class that was not just about Baseball. I was forced to push myself academically in a way that I have not done in 20 years since earning my Masters Degree. The instructor, Keith Reilly, is extremely encouraging and accessible. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who loves history and baseball.

This is an excellent way to get baseball (or sports in general) into social studies or to create a baseball elective for a high school class. The range of assignments allowed a more encompassing look at baseball's connection to America.

I am so loving baseball this season--sometimes I know more than the commentators, thanks to Baseball as American Culture. The course was a LOT of work for me, but I am using assignments with my students. They did the Hall of Fame Baseball Scavenger Hunt last week, just for fun. And the World War II Homefront Unit was super! Thanks for enriching my knowledge and repertoire of curriculum materials!
