Virginia City is a site to see, a lot of fun when you see it on Sunday when the majority of the fold dress in full gear. Especially those attending the bar in full uniform.

I loved this course! I love the area, and it is rich with history that I can pass along to my students. I enjoy the fact that this class is layered with other classes offered at FPU, which adds to the depth of knowledge in the history of the area.

This class has been very informative. Joe Taylor Jr., the instructor, was very helpful and quickly returned answers to my questions through email. It was exciting to make a trip to Virginia City to see this historic town in person. There was so much to see and lots of information to absorb. I will always be greatful I took this class.

Different assignment sheets in the packet made it a bit unclear which to follow. It was quite a lot of work. You have the opportunity to learn about the area, and experience the area; however, it was so much writing, and work.

I have lived in Reno and visited Virginia City before. I have even taught Nevada History, however, never before has this history come alive as it did with this course. I learned so much that I never knew about the Comstock and the course was so well paced and fun that it didn't even feel like learning. Highly recommend this class.

I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to take this course entitled Historic Virginia City Silver Region of the Comstock. Visiting this tourist town certainly peaked my curiosity and fulfilled my expectations of improving my knowledge regarding the Comstock Lode. I am anxious to incorporate this information into my class curriculum, my students will just love learning about the Comstock Lode and going on this field trip. I am looking forward to taking the course on the history of Carson City in the future.

I enjoyed the visitation to Virginia City. I plan to go back again. I wouldn't have gone if it weren't for the class, really enjoyed it. It is surprising to me to realize that names of buildings and restaurants in my city and other cities were named after famous people from Virginia City. Thanks!
