This was a great course that provided lots of information about Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada region of California. I was able to use the activities from the course in my own teaching, which is always a plus!

I thought i knew a lot about the park just because I have visited it multiple times. Taking this class open my eyes to many topics that I have not learned or mastered. I learned a lot about Fire Ecology and that there are many flowering plants that do rely on periodic fires to flourish. Thank You!

This was one of the best continuing education courses I have taken so far. It was informative, fun to learn about the processes and natural history of Yosemite, and gave me many tools to take back into my classroom. If this professor offers other courses in a similar format, I will definitely be taking them in the future.

This course provided me with a wealth of geological, ecological, and historical information on the Sierra Nevada and, in particular, Yosemite National Park. Learned a great many new things through the computer research sections. The photography and videos are terrific. The National Park web site is terrific and packed with information. Teachers not aware of this site should investigate it for any National Park they may have interest in having their students learn about. Fresno Pacific classes are great for working at your own pace.
