Great videos, liked the interview we had to do, and having to make the equipment which actually worked because I used my granddaughter to test it out. It was nice this was go at your own pace because I had been taking another course that was demanding and had a lot of papers to write, so this helped to ease my stress because I also work full time at PE teacher and part time job.

I am a special education teacher, and not a physical education teacher. I did learn a few physical activities that I can use with my class. I especially liked creating the block plan calendar. I really looked at the physical standards and was able to piece together what each grade level should be doing with each task such as striking, and throwing. I can use these skills to find out what level my current students are and what they should be doing next according to the standards. I believe this is my biggest take away from this class. I also liked learning about all the different games to use with running and tagging. These are engaging, but do not use a lot of equipment and can be done inside and outside.

I like the work at your own pace format. My partner teacher became ill, so I was covering two classes at a time for a short time. I was coming home tired and feeling under the weather myself. This class is awesome! I really enjoyed the "Teaching A P.E. Lesson" videos. They helped to set the tone for the entire class. All assignments were well laid out and easy to follow. This course was great. My background in PE is not very extensive as I went to school for Exercise Science and not Education or Physical Education. I have taught for two years in a charter network so majority of the things that I know are from trial and error or observing other teachers. To have an actual lesson and learn another perspective was a great help for me. I am walking away from this course with new classroom management techniques and creativity for equipment making and lesson plans.

I enjoyed this course because it allowed me to put myself in the perspective of an elementary school PE instructor rather than at the secondary level, where I am professionally. This might be found in another course, but if not, I would like to know more about the kinesiological aspects that go into creating an elementary level PE curriculum. This course was more "how to teach elementary PE" and I am interested in learning about "why we teach what we teach to elementary PE," if that makes sense.
