I enjoyed learning about all of the social justice topics that can be covered, using junior high math. Obviously, math theme problems can get dated and old, but these inform, as well as teach important people-concepts.

The course was very interesting and challenging. There were some articles we had to read that didn't really seem to fit the definition of Social Justice Math. They were more a rant about how education is not equal for all. But overall a very enjoyable class.

I found this course fascinating! Of all the post-graduate courses I have taken, this one has been the one I enjoyed the most and will definitely use in my teaching. I believe using social justice in the mathematics students will motivate students both to learn the math as well as be more aware of the issues that affect their lives.
