Learning about mathematicians is a cool twist to bring into the math classroom to help further engage students in the learning, especially those that may not be so number savvy. I learned a lot in this course. As a science teacher, it is important to make connections to other areas to gain students interests. This class forced me to look at the history of mathematics in a whole new way. I believe teaching about these mathematicians will truly help enhance the learning in my classroom. Great Course!

For anyone teaching math in classroom grades 4-8, this course is great because it not only provides you with a lot of useful materials, but you also become educated in how best to implement them in your curriculum. Looking into the history and the personal stories of the mathematicians who came up with all of our nowaday-standard formulas and algorithms is a great way to spark interest in teachers and students alike!
