Prior to taking this course, I believed apologetics was a matter of memorizing and regurgitating facts to people who were clearly confused. This class opened my eyes to my own arrogance and equipped me with tools to approach apologetics in a gentle and respectful way as we are instructed in 1 Peter 3:15. I am now much more open to opportunities to discuss my hope and my faith and at peace with the encounters God places in my path. I am learning to stop second-guessing myself and feeling like I have failed because I have discovered that my one conversation with a person is not the only apologetic conversation that person will have. The Holy Spirit works through many channels. I feel the course had the right amount of work for 3 credit hours and that it was easy to communicate with the professor.
