This was a delightful class that will be useful in my varying grade levels. I am not a fantasy fan, but since my students are I thought I should try. After this class, I'm officially a "convert."

Excellent! So much fun. Really expands the concept of fantasy literature and how it can be used like any other type of work. Highly recommended!

This course provided me with greater insight to the educational worth of the fantasy genre. In the middle and high school levels, fantasy is often left for pleasure reading, but this course reminded me that students could learn important themes, literary elements, author's craft, and connections to our history and real-world situations. I enjoyed having the opportunity to explore young-adult fantasy literature and finding meaningful activities to implement in my classroom.
