This course examines the game of baseball as an integral part of American culture from its origins to the present day. The course is about the game of baseball and its connection to American culture. Participants develop an understanding of our national past time and discover how the game is a reflection of America. The course evaluates culture and connects the game to classroom curriculum units and national standards. Baseball as American Culture includes a travel option to visit the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY. A non-travel option is also available. Required course materials must be purchased separately.
