Professional Development Certificates

The Center for Professional Development has developed the following professional development certificates to further enhance the instructional skills of K - 12 educators. These certificates provide high quality, standards based strategies for educators to use as they continue to improve the academic achievement of their students.

BREAKING NEWS!! The IEC program has been shortened to 5 months and 15 units, and the price has been reduced for the Fall 2017 cohort!

Fresno Pacific University Center for Professional Development has partnered with CUE, an 8000 member educational non-profit, to offer the Innovative Educator Certificate (IEC). This 5 month Cohort is led by top flight educators that comprise some of the most energetic, innovative educational thinkers available. The IEC Instructors include Apple Distinguished Educators, Google Certified Innovators, and veteran CUE Rock Star Faculty members. The IEC instruction provides the best access to state-of-the-art tools and mindsets for 1:1, edtech and PBL styled learning.

IEC participants will be able to earn a Google Educator Level 1 Certificate and will spend time working in Google Classroom, leveraging all of the collaborative and creative power of Google Apps for Education for this graduate-level certificate program.

Participants must have access to an iPad, Android, or other tablet. The tablet is not included in the registration price.

NOTE: Completion of this Certificate (15-18 units) transfers into the FPU Curriculum and Instruction Online Master's Degree Program.

Great coaches are always looking to refresh, retool and recharge their coaching insights, philosophies & strategies. These practical courses are designed to meet the professional development, continuing education, or re-certification requirements for busy coaches and teachers through online and distance learning formats. Material is presented in a way that is immediately relevant and applicable.

The Center for Professional Development provides the opportunity for participants enrolled in technology courses to earn a technology skills certificate upon successful completion of 12 units of instruction from the following technology skills clusters:

  1. Personal Productivity Applications & Integration;
  2. Multimedia Applications & Webpage Design/Integration; and
  3. Online Teaching and Learning.
The technology skills certificate offers evidence of proficiency, enhances a resume, and includes a letter of certification addressed to the principal or superintendent of the participant's school district. Additional technology courses are currently being developed, and will be added to these clusters as they become available.
