The Center for Professional Development provides the opportunity for participants enrolled in technology courses to earn a technology skills certificate upon successful completion of 12 units of instruction from the following technology skills clusters:
  1. Personal Productivity Applications & Integration;
  2. Multimedia Applications & Webpage Design/Integration; and
  3. Online Teaching and Learning.

The technology skills certificate offers evidence of proficiency, enhances a resume, and includes a letter of certification addressed to the principal or superintendent of the participant's school district. Additional technology courses are currently being developed, and will be added to these clusters as they become available.

How do I get started?

Click to view Tech Skills Certificate courses and clusters.. Select and register for two 3-unit courses from the Electives list, which includes technology skill clusters 1 and 2, and two 3-unit courses from the Required category which includes the Online Teaching and Learning courses.



How do I obtain the certificate?

  1. Complete four 3-unit courses from the Electives and Required course categories as specified above.
  2. Click to download application form, then return completed form to CPD, as stated on the form.
  3. Upon receipt of the completed application form, and verification of successful completion of the 12 units, the certificate will be awarded and posted to the participant's transcript.
